Professional Development Symposium:
Veterinary Business Best Practices in Rural America
with Bill Kearley, DVM, MBA
Kearley Consulting

This special symposium will focus on:

  • What are the most important factors to consider when buying in/purchasing a rural practice
  • Planning a successful transition to practice ownership
  • Leadership tips for creating a successful rural practice

We have asked Dr. Kearley to place a special emphasis on new graduates/new practice owners.  We also encourage veteran practitioners to attend for a “check-up” on their business knowledge and to lend their career experiences to the conversation.

All are welcome to join us for this informative evening program.  The symposium is free to ARV Members, students and recent graduates.  The non-member fee for this event is $25.00.  Join ARV at the Professional Development Symposium and you can attend for free with membership benefits extended until September 30, 2011.

Our Presenter

Dr. Bill Kearley has a diverse background in veterinary medicine starting with 15 years in food animal practice and as a livestock producer in rural Idaho, followed by 3 years in the Idaho State Veterinarian’s office while pursuing an advanced business degree.   The past 16 years, Bill has operated Kearley Consulting out of Boise, Idaho, working with veterinarians who want to create a thriving business and develop a motivated team.   Additionally he serves on the Board of Directors for VetPartners, an association for veterinary practice management consultants and advisors, and is co-editor of the VIN practice management message board.  Although Bill has worked with all types of practices over the years, his true passion is helping rural veterinarians create thriving, harmonious and rewarding veterinary practices.  Dr. Kearley is very pleased to assist ARV in presenting on business best practices to rural veterinarians in these challenging economic times.

Academy of Rural Veterinarians 2010 Annual Membership Meeting

The annual membership meeting provides ARV an opportunity to bring the latest updates to members and supporters on our association's work, progress and future planning.  We encourage all ARV members planning to attend the AABP/AVC event to take this time to bring their experience and ideas to the floor, so we can make ARV an even better advocate for rural practice.
